Explorant l'espace entre installation et performance, FLIES est une pièce in situ qui "active" le plan vertical. Quatre performeurs suspendus par une corde se déplacent à travers des cycles évolutifs de saut, de chute et de course, soulignent l'interrelation entre l'espace et le mouvement. En habitant un espace (traditionnellement considéré) inhabite, FLIES invite le public à regarder le monde sous un angle nouveau. Un moment pour prendre le temps et remarquer les surfaces familières de notre quotidien qui passent normalement inaperçues.

Présentée comme une œuvre durationelle dans le contexte de Open Streets, FLIES vous invite à venir, à partir, à revenir et à tomber dessus.

FLIES nodigt je uit om de straat vanuit een ander perspectief te bekijken. Vier performers hangen vast aan een touw en springen, vallen en rennen … tegen een verticale muur. Ze ‘bewonen’ op die manier een onbewoonbare plek. Ze vragen aandacht voor een plek die we allemaal kennen maar waar we in onze drukke dagelijkse bezigheden aan voorbij gaan.

FLIES situeert zich tussen performance en installatie en wordt tijdens OpensStreets gedurende drie uur geactiveerd.

Exploring the space between installation and performance, FLIES is an in situ piece that ‘activates’ the vertical plane. Four performers suspended by rope move through evolving cycles of jumping, falling, and running. By inhabiting (traditionally regarded) uninhabitable space, FLIES invites the audience to look at the world from a new perspective. A moment to notice, and give time to, the familiar surfaces that normally go unnoticed in our day to day activities.

Presented as a durational work in the context of Open Streets, FLIES invites you to come, go, return, and stumble upon.
